The Department of Industry and Resources promotes programs, awards and grants that support the renewable energy and clean technology industry in Western Australia.
Collie Region and Coal Infrastructure Fund
Funding has been provided by the State Government to further develop the Collie region and the coal industry by assisting the industry with proposals that will enhance the commercial attractiveness of using Collie coal in the domestic markets, or for infrastructure and programs that enhance long term employment in the district.
The Collie Industry and Coal Industry Future Group will consider applications for funding in the following categories:
- Category A: Business plans, land use planning and infrastructure concept design studies – expected to be less than $100,000
- Category B: Minor projects or infrastructure development proposals – expected to be less $500,000
- Category C: Major projects or infrastructure development proposals – expected to be greater than $500,000

These awards also acknowledge the important contribution that Western Australian businesses make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity in the community.
