Key Strengths and Capabilities

Western Australia has significant natural advantages and industry capabilities in the areas of mining, mineral processing, energy, health, education and agriculture. Local industry has developed world-class ICT skills and capabilities in these areas.

At the same time, new opportunities are emerging from the State’s research and development capabilities in space technology, microphotonics, sensor technology, genomatics, and bioinformatics.
