The objective of the Indigenous Economic Support Scheme is improved economic independence amongst Indigenous people through planning and developing sustainable Indigenous enterprises and by supporting industry initiatives that enhance these enterprises.

About the Scheme
In recognition of the increasing global acceptance by the private sector and governments of the need for sustainable development, the Indigenous Economic Support Scheme will take into account the three core elements of sustainable development (economic, environmental and community) when assessing applications.
