The Department of Industry and Resources is Western Australia’s principal economic development agency, with a charter to regulate the minerals and petroleum resource sector and to promote, facilitate and coordinate investment, business development, exports and activity across most sectors of the economy, with the exception of tourism, agriculture and fisheries.
