Western Australian Oil and Gas Review

The State's petroleum industry continues its dominant position in the Western Australian economy. The value of petroleum sales in 2007 amounted to A$16.7 billion. This reaffirmed Western Australia (WA) as the country's premier petroleum producer, accounting for approximately 71% of the nation's crude oil and condensate output.

The series of annual Western Australian Oil and Gas Reviews to the right provides a definitive annual guide to the State's petroleum industry. These reports detail activity in all of WA's operating fields and outlines many proposed developments.

Each edition also features an annual review of the industry’s performance in this State. Other articles include information on recent topical issues of relevance to ongoing development and operation of this important industry in WA. The reviews present contemporary information on the oil and gas industry operation in both onshore and offshore settings, research activities and service capacities. These clearly highlight the continuing rapid evolution of WA, and particularly Perth, as an important hub for the oil and gas sectors in the Asia-Pacific region.
