Highly dynamic, with enormous potential for growth, the industry is comprised of companies whose activities include the development, manufacture and distribution of knowledge intensive equipment, software or services for information processing, multimedia and communications.
The Department of Industry and Resources is working to build a vibrant and globally competitive Western Australian ICT industry. It assists the development of ICT enterprises and industry associations through a range of information services and financial assistance programs, including developing opportunities for exports, promoting innovation, increasing local participation in major industrial projects and identifying and overcoming impediments to industry development.
